Michigan Conference Appoints Tom Hubbard as Ministerial Director

The Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is pleased to announce the election of Pastor Tom Hubbard as Ministerial Director, following a vote by the Michigan Conference Executive Committee on March 31, 2026.

Pastor Hubbard has faithfully served as Associate Ministerial and Evangelism Director, demonstrating a deep commitment to supporting and equipping pastors across the Conference. His passion for ministry is rooted in a desire to help pastors carry out the calling God has placed on their lives, strengthening both leadership and mission at the local church level.

Prior to his service at the Conference office, Pastor Hubbard ministered in several districts throughout Michigan. Most recently, he served as pastor of the Wilson and Menominee churches in the Upper Peninsula, while also fulfilling responsibilities as District Superintendent. Earlier in his ministry, he pastored the Gobles church and served as a Bible worker and associate pastor in Allegan. He also contributed as outreach coordinator for the Emmanuel Institute.

Throughout his ministry, Pastor Hubbard has found his greatest joy in seeing churches actively engaged in the mission of spreading the everlasting gospel and seeing individuals brought to Christ.

“It is with a humble heart that I accept this call to serve as the Ministerial Director. I believe we are nearing the Second Coming of Jesus, and my primary focus will be supporting our pastors, their families, and their churches as they lead in proclaiming the three angels’ messages.”

Conference President Jim Micheff expressed appreciation for Pastor Hubbard’s leadership and service.

“We have been richly blessed by Tom’s ministry in the Ministerial Department and are excited to see how God will continue to use him in this expanded role.”

Pastor Hubbard serves alongside his wife, Amie, in ministry. She currently serves as the family life director for the conference. Together, they have five children and three grandchildren. As time permits, they enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors, particularly backpacking, canoeing, and hiking.

The Michigan Conference expresses its gratitude for Pastor Hubbard’s faithful service and looks forward with anticipation to the continued impact of his leadership in Ministerial. We invite you to join us in praying for him and his family as he steps into this new role.
