About Michael

Michael Quion MD is Co-Director of Lifestyle Matters and Health Ministries for the Michigan Conference. Michael grew up in Berrien Springs, MI. He attended Ruth Murdoch Elementary School, Andrews Academy, and is an alumnus of Andrews University. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the Grand Rapids Family Practice Program. Dr. Quion is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a diverse background in medical practices across Michigan & California, including rural health, Indian Health, military service related, and HMO/Hospital based clinics.

​Dr. Quion attributes some of his earliest health ministry exposure to summers working in the “temperance tent” at the Berrien County Youth Fair in the 1980’s. Since then he has also been involved in church-based health programs (such as CHIP and Immersion programs), ”Dinner with the Doctor” events, medical missions, Weimar University Health programs, and others.

​After approximately 20+ years, Dr. Quion returned to Michigan with his wife, Melanie, RN MSN and two children, Mark and Mayanne. Most recently, he was a Primary Care Physician at an outpatient clinic in  Berrien Springs, MI, formerly known as University Medical Specialties.
