Dear Michigan Conference Family,

The Gallimore family is saddened to announce the tragic loss of Linda Gallimore, wife of Jay, and mother of Alicia and Matthew. As many may know, she lost her right lung to cancer 17 years ago. Due to recent complications, the medical team in the emergency room were unable to maintain her oxygen levels that were necessary to sustain life. She slipped away from us on August 5 at 5:46 AM. 

The children and I are brokenhearted over the loss of our Linda. She was a tower of strength and wisdom to the family. We know we have sustained an irreplaceable loss. 

Outside of the Lord and her family, she was dedicated to the ministry of children and served part time as the coordinator of Children’s Ministries for the Michigan Conference. Her creative and organizational skills were legendary. In addition, she was a CPA who was much admired and appreciated by her clients. 

We will deeply miss her love and influence in our lives. But the Lord of glory gives and takes away, but never outside of His love. We trust her life in the hands of our mighty Savior and look forward with hope to the morning of the Resurrection.

Another interest of hers was the Adventist Community Services (ACS) of the Grand Ledge Seventh-day Adventist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be sent to: Grand Ledge SDA Church with “ACS” stated in the memo. The mailing address is: 4980 Burt Ave, Grand Ledge, MI 48837. 

At this time, the family is planning for a private service. However, further details will follow concerning an open celebration of her life.
