Health Ministries Retreat Provides Practical Tools to Support Ministry

From February 28 to March 2, 82 attendees gathered for the Health Ministries Retreat at Camp Au Sable, focusing on the theme “RIGHT Arm Evangelism", with RIGHT being an an acronym representing five key elements of health ministry:

• R – Relationships.
• I – Ignite.
• G – God, How Do You See Him?.
• H – Healing Physically and Spiritually.
• T – Taking It All to a Higher Level

The retreat featured four speakers from diverse background, each brining their own unique expertise and experiences: Dr. Roger & Margaret Gallant, Pastor Jeff Walper, and Pastor John Kelly. Together, they provided a well-rounded perspective on health, faith, and ministry, enriching the discussions and workshops throughout the weekend.

Attendees also explored ways to support Christ’s method of ministry—combining preaching, teaching, and healing—while gaining practical tools to enhance blended message ministry, which integrates the health message with the gospel.

This retreat marked the first under the leadership of Michael and Melanie Quion, the new Health Ministries directors for the Michigan Conference.
